This is an article about the new "missile defense". Bush is trying to put missiles in space, apparently for defense purposes. The Canadian Peace Alliance says, "The U.S. Missile Defense responds to the danger of weapons by making more weapons. This will incite other countries to build up their arsenals and spark new conventional nuclear arms races." Basically the U.S. plans to make weapons so other countries will try to make better weapons which will deliver the potential for a big war. Is there logic in that? Bush is trying to get Canada to join in. That is why I went to a protest rally downtown. I recorded one of the speeches which will be under this writing. I recorded it because he makes a very good point. If we don't have money for health care where are we going to get money for missile defense? I am still waiting for the outcome of all the protest rallys around Canada. I really hope it works because Bush really has no logic. An excerpt from the speech is available below.
